Apple is making it easier for Siri and Apple Music to work together. Unveiled during its event on Monday, Apple debuted a new plan, called the Voice Plan, which will be available for $4.99 a month, making it the cheapest option available for Apple Music users. The company also showcased several new playlists that users can launch simply by telling Siri to play “music for dinner” or “music to vibe to,” as well as other options. The new playlists are curated by Apple to include top artists and will allow users to quickly launch various songs for different moods. The new plan, which will cost half the price of the standard individual Apple Music subscription, will give subscribers access to Siri-controlled music on Apple devices, as well as the option to listen to songs, playlists, and stations. The new subscription won’t include spatial and lossless audio, or the option to watching music videos and check lyrics in Apple Music. It’s also only available on Apple devices, unlike the individual plan that unlocks access to Apple Music on supported devices like Android smartphones. The Voice Plan will launch later this fall in 17 countries and regions.
