It’s easy to connect your Ring device(s) to Alexa so that you can interact with the smart doorbell using your voice. You will need the Alexa app for iOS or Android devices to complete the pairing process. Here’s how to get started. With this process, you can use Echo devices with your Ring Doorbell and other Ring devices (such as security cameras).
How Do You Answer the Doorbell Ring With Alexa?
Once your Ring doorbell is connected to Alexa, you will be able to use your voice to answer the doorbell whenever you are within range of a smart speaker. To begin two-way communication with the person who rang your doorbell, say, “Alexa, answer [doorbell name]” or “Alexa, talk to [doorbell name].” If you have an Echo Show or Echo Spot device with a screen, you can also get a view from your Ring doorbell camera right on the Echo device. Say, “Alexa, show me [doorbell name],” and you can see who is at your door. The microphone will be muted by default, and you can unmute it if you wish to speak.
