Sync With a Third-Party App

Health Auto Export is a third-party app and it bridges the gap for seeing Activity app data on your Mac. The app syncs this data from your iPhone (paired with your Apple Watch) to your Mac or iPad. So be sure to install the app on both your iPhone and Mac (or iPad). Once you have Health Auto Export installed and are ready to view your data, open the app on your Mac. Then use the navigation on the left side, starting with the quick options at the top. Health Auto Export is free and offers a variety of additional features based on the plan you select. So if you intend to review your Activity app data often, you might consider one of the paid plans available via in-app purchase.

Export Your Health Data

Another option to consider is an export from the Health app on your iPhone. The data is more intended for health purposes by providing items such as clinical records and workout routes. However, you could find it useful if you plan to import it to another location on your Mac.

Take a Screenshot From Apple Watch or iPhone

Although not ideal, you can always capture a screenshot of the Activity data you want and then send that image to your Mac or access it in the Photos app.

On Apple Watch, open the Activity app and move to the data you want to capture. Press the Digital Crown and side button at the same time to take a screenshot on your Watch.  On iPhone, you can use either the Fitness app (formerly Activity) or the Health app, depending on the data you want to capture. Since the process varies, check out our instructions for taking a screenshot on your iPhone model.

You can then send the screenshot from your Apple Watch or iPhone to your Mac using your preferred method. But even better, if you sync the Photos app, you should see those screenshots in the Photos library on your Mac. Until Apple gives users a built-in tool for displaying Apple Watch activity data on Mac, you have these three sufficient workarounds. Which will you choose?
