The feature, called Kids Clips, is rolling out to some of Netflix’s users starting this week, according to Bloomberg. Kids Clips is currently being tested on the Netflix iOS app, and it includes short clips from the streaming giant’s library of children’s shows and movies. It’s meant to work similarly to the company’s Fast Laughs feature, which plays short content snippets to draw viewers in. The most noticeable difference between Kids Clips and Fast Laughs is the former plays content in a landscape (horizontal) view, more akin to watching a TV show on your phone. Netflix is also limiting the number of clips that pop up at one time to 10-20. The company plans to add new clips every day, and they’ll all be pulled from shows and movies available on the streaming platform, as well as future shows. Kids Clips is just the latest feature Netflix has launched to help cut down on the decisions users have to make. It also previously launched Play Something, an option that chooses random content to stream to your TV. You can then ‘change the channel’ by flipping to the next option or letting the show or movie play out. Netflix hasn’t shared any official launch details for Kids Clips, and the feature is still in testing based on Bloomberg’s report. It’s currently rolling out to select regions, including Canada, the US, Ireland, and Latin America.
