According to Bloomberg tech columnist Mark Gurman, Apple is currently working on variations of Time to Walk called “Time to Run” and “Audio Meditations.” Apple hasn’t revealed any additional details yet, but the fact that they’re confirmed as variations of Time to Walk means they’ll likely function in a similar manner. Time to Walk, which is available to Fitness+ subscribers, is intended to encourage Apple Watch users to go for walks more often. Each Time to Walk episode features a celebrity guest sharing personal stories, jokes, memories, and more, supplemented with photos that will appear on the watch face. Once the guest has finished their stories, a playlist they create will begin so you can keep walking along with a poignant soundtrack. Time to Run and Audio Meditations will most likely work in a similar fashion, with celebrities supplying stories and anecdotes meant to inspire. The main difference is that you’ll be running or meditating instead of walking. It’s unknown if these new features will require a Fitness+ subscription like Time to Walk does, but it’s likely. Apple hasn’t supplied an expected release date for either Time to Run or Audio Meditations, with Gurman stating that they’re “in the works.” If a Fitness+ subscription is required (you’ll also need an Apple Watch 3 or later), you can sign up for either $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.
