With the release of Wear OS 3, Google has unveiled a YouTube Music app designed specifically for Android smartwatches. While the app was previously only available on Wear OS 3, it has now been revealed that it will be coming to Wear OS 2 watches, as well, starting with Fossil and TicWatch watches, 9To5Google reports. The YouTube Music app on Wear OS is broken down into three areas, a Downloads section, a Recommended section, and your Library. You can check your likes, offline Mixtape, and discover mixes from the first section, with others like playlist suggestions and more available, too. Once you’ve started playing a song in the app, you easily can control playback with a swipe to the left. You can skip tracks, like or unlike them, and more. The app automatically will update and refresh what is cached on your smartwatch when you’re connected to Wi-Fi, and it is charging. You’ll also need a monthly subscription to YouTube Music Premium to make use of smart downloads.  The Wear OS 2 version of YouTube Music will start rolling out on watches starting with the Fossil and Michael Kors Gen 6 and Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE, and TicWatch E3, according to 9To5Google. The app is slated to arrive on other Wear OS 2 devices later this year.
